Do You Trust Me!? Then Take My Hand!!

Had a small technicality tonight while I was pursuing certain areas of the unknown. So first of all apologies for the sudden change of of the site… but do not fear! I will be fixing this as soon as possible. Watch this space! (More carefully than I did!)

I Wanted To Call This Post ‘ Actions Speak Louder Than Words’ But I’ve Already Used It For Something Else

From the ever popular creative hot pot for networking and uplifting comments to support some of the best work out there today – The Behance Network has been working with the Action Method project for quite sometime. This is a clear cut way to keep track of all of your projects, create action steps and delegate with relevant colleagues or clients.

Only recently have I focused my attention to use it to it’s full potential, not only by signing up and using the online setup but also downloading the Adobe Air Desktop Application and iPhone Application to keep track while away from the computer.

This is all free of course, although there is the option to pay for a premium service of Action Method where you would be given unlimited project creations, 2GB of space for any uploadable items and also 10% off any Action Method Print Products. A suitable path for the busy little freelancer I reckon!

Leap Of Faith

Well, I finally went to go about upgrading my wordpress to 2.7.1. I took the leap of faith with the automatic plugin and everything seemed to run very smoothly. Until I checked my projects pages, if you haven’t noticed they have decided to turn into thumbnails and below par picture quality.

Unfortunately this shall be updated over the course of the evening, a bit later than I would like to leave it.

Keep the faith!

Defining Constructivism

If you are down by the Tata Modern over the course of  the 12 February – 17 May 2009 be sure to pay a visit to the ‘Rodchenko & Popove, Defining Contructivism’ exhibit.

‘The Russian Revolution was accompanied by a remarkable period of artistic experiment known as Constructivism, which questioned the fundamental properties of art and asked what its place should be in a new society. The Constructivists challenged the idea of the work of art as a unique commodity, explored more collective ways of working, and looked at how they could contribute to everyday life through design, architecture, industrial production, theatre and film.’ – Tate Modern Introduction

The exhibit showcases vast amounts of pioneering works of the time, Liubov Popova (1889-1924) and Aleksandr Rodchenko (1891-1956) who are considered major participants of the discussions that have defined the role and attributes of Contructivism.

Posts On The Horizon

Got a few post coming up later this evening, consisting of some fun pentagram work, whether or not you should go to the ‘Slaughtered Lamb’ or ‘Selfridges’ tomorrow night (Don’t worry, will all be clear later) and a big up for some new Adobe CS4 features.

Oh.. and maybe a quick mention about some party that went off over the international pond!

The Love Of The Game

Came across this image while checking out the FFFFound! RSS feed, would really like to know if there is a series of this that include different consoles and games.  Considering how well computer game sales have been doing during the current situation I thought I would pop this one into the blog.

Also reminded me of how big a game Golden Eye was on N64!

It’s Not What You Read It’s Who You Read

As each day goes by it seems that I end up subscribing to more and more RSS feeds, far more than I need in some cases. But when it came to a time when I needed to really keep check of all of the posts that I am fed and all the different categories I look into, I firstly went down the Netvibes route which was fun for a time but never really made my life that much easier than before.

I have a Googlemail account, although not used very frequently (Mainly work related), I began to use the Google Reader with a twist. For all you designers and typography enthusiasts alike I point in the direction of Helvetireader. Easy to install on top of your Google Reader account, just follow the instructions given. This has made my access to new feeds a whole lot better.

My daily RSS feed fix is now a whole lot easier!
