There have been a few changes to the site over the last couple of days and you may even notice that my portfolio site is also temporarily down while it goes under some service. So watch this space for new work and an updated site.
In the mean time I will continue with writing my posts and you can also follow me via Twitter.

Good, long-lasting logos are embedded into our memory banks everyday, from FedEx to Mcdonalds or Google to BBC. If you reckon yourself to be a brand identity wizz kid you can test yourself against this iphone & ipod Touch app – Guess The Logo.
From the initial screens of the game this doesn’t look like the ridiculously easy logo test that was expected. You have got to know the logo down to the last serif and kern. Release that branding nerd inside of you!

Had a small technicality tonight while I was pursuing certain areas of the unknown. So first of all apologies for the sudden change of of the site… but do not fear! I will be fixing this as soon as possible. Watch this space! (More carefully than I did!)

If you like mixtapes and if you get yourself over to ‘Noncollective‘ I’m sure you will find something that will interest. Noncollective is a site that lists a number of mixed up mp3’s that will give you that needed distraction to get through those working hours. The website also includes a couple of ‘Guest’ mixtapes from certain individuals.
I’m not sure how often new mixtapes are added but there is still plenty to sink your teeth into and you join the mailing list for updates.

Really great search engine site for the ‘The Square America Snapshot Archive’ which consists of excerpts from the annuals of everyday life. Be there or be square.

From the ever popular creative hot pot for networking and uplifting comments to support some of the best work out there today – The Behance Network has been working with the Action Method project for quite sometime. This is a clear cut way to keep track of all of your projects, create action steps and delegate with relevant colleagues or clients.
Only recently have I focused my attention to use it to it’s full potential, not only by signing up and using the online setup but also downloading the Adobe Air Desktop Application and iPhone Application to keep track while away from the computer.
This is all free of course, although there is the option to pay for a premium service of Action Method where you would be given unlimited project creations, 2GB of space for any uploadable items and also 10% off any Action Method Print Products. A suitable path for the busy little freelancer I reckon!

Go see the amazing and hilarious Grip Wrench animation series by RexBox. Grip Wrench is a Hollywood hardman, Vietnam veteran and fearless patriot that has starred in many a classic movies such as; ‘The Worriers’, ‘PRON’, ‘CONAD’, ‘The Mister Fighty Show’ and ‘Keep Safe’.
This guy knows whats going on in the world as he is also on Twitter!

Came across this quirky little site a few days ago, worth a couple of minutes of your time before home time. From Josh Nimoy.

If you have not been able to make the recent D&AD President Lectures that have recently started you are in luck. As the people behind the scenes have kindly uploaded the Q&A sections from the lectures that have been and gone so far via the D&AD Vimeo page.

Due to continuous requests from designers for additional weights for the classic German DIN 1451 Engschrift and DIN 1451 Mittekschrift typefaces we now have a new and revised design of the typeface.
DIN Nextâ„¢ is available via Linotype, where Type Director, Akira Kobayashi, kept a close eye over the development and design of the new type family.
